"Iwanow" German-Russian?

The spelling is Polish. Polish uses a "W" for the letter "V", so it would be pronounced, Ivanov.

The spelling is Polish.

I figured German because they have the W-V thing, and the name sounds Russian. I had a German friend named Makowiak = Makoviak. Definitely East European/Russian though.
