Heres the smokin 411 on 420 Hearne Christopher Jr.

April Fools Day, tax day whats next? May Day?
Not quite.
First we have to slip past April 20, or 420 in stoner parlance. Thats the date many marijuana smokers celebrate in recognition of 420 being the unofficial but widely recognized term for the time to light up a joint.
Which brings us to the 420 event planned by our friends at Munchiez in Westport, Brandi and Lisa Blair. The couple dishes up Ding Dongs, Ho Hos, Gummi Bears, cheese puffs, sandwiches and other munchies to late night partiers from their biz at 1517 Westport Road.
Weve been swamped. Business is fabulous, Lisa says.
Its awesome, Brandi adds. Our Tuesday nights are starting to pick up, too. And on Saturday nights, its just wall-to-wall people.
As for the big fiesta Thursday, the pair had planned to erect a tent and hold a massive street party to celebrate the big day. But for sanitys sake, theyve dialed it back to an in-store bash with live DJs and food and drink specials.
I want to find somebody to dress up in a big sheet and wear a big, orange Afro wig, so they look like a joint, Brandi says.

"That was also the date of the Oklahoma City Bombing and the Waco fire. "
No - that was the 19th. Yesterday was 11 years since OKC.

Indeed it was; the Waco fire was on that day, too. But I understand that the Columbine attack was originally planned for that day anyway. Probably had something to do with prom being the previous Saturday.

Munchiez
1517 Westport Rd.
The cool blue glow emitted from the black lights in the windows of Munchiez is so faint and unassuming it's easy to mistake the restaurant for being closed.
Open Tuesdays and Thursday through Saturday from 4:20 in the afternoon until the wee hours of 4:20 in the morning, the snug snackery always keeps the lights low and the television on to accommodate customers - most of them either on their way to or from an evening of heavy frolicking - who need a comfortable place to chill out for just a moment.
On Thursday evening I stopped off at Munchiez with my boyfriend. I found
co-owners Brandi Blair and her wife Lisa lounging on two of the dozen or so retro easy chairs that circle the middle of the dining room to give it a living room feel. After pointing out the menus scattered on various end-tables and inviting us to order at the counter whenever we were ready, Brandi resumed working on her computer while Lisa sorted papers.
The Munchiez menu is basic but it takes you where you need to go. The Blair ladies know you've got snacking needs and they're there to save you. . . .

Well I went off to college in the 1960s and they say if you can remember the 60s, you weren't there. What was the question? LOL

420 is something to do with a LAPD radio code for marijuana if I recall. 4/20 also happens to be Adolf Hitler's birthday and Columbine massacre. 4/19 was OKC and Waco. As for why Klebold and Harris chose 4/20, they were going to do it on 4/19. Perhaps they feared they it might be related to OKC and Waco. Incidentally, McVeigh and Nichols were tried in Denver in 1997.

Just heard today that the eternal idiot Neil Young says he is still addicted to marijuana, but tries not to smoke it too much, so he won't be a bad influence on kid. How much is TOO much and how do you decide it is TOO much... etc.????

This from the FDA's release today on marijuana:
FDA concurred because marijuana met the three criteria for placement in Schedule I under 21 U.S.C. 812(b)(1) (e.g., marijuana has a high potential for abuse, has no currently accepted medical use in treatment in the United States, and has a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision)
Hmm... By these standards, alcohol should be banned as well.

Truth be told, marijuana is a harmless drug that was legal until white middle-class kids started smoking it and listening to jazz music in the 20s. Can't let those negroes influence good white society too much!!!
