Only in a communist country is it the leaders' responsibility to "get the factories up and running."

OK let's have a look see then. He makes treaties. It is within his authority to regulate our trade with China with the approval of congress. You lost the arguement when Bush continued to give China MFNTS which hurts our own nations workers. He is making entangling alliances & treaties with other nations that Washington warned about as well. That deal is harmfull to our own nation. That is what I meant by concentrating on our own economy {encouraging more production at home via less regulation in our own nationlower taxes etc} and not concentrating instead on bettering China's especially under the gross violations of what we consider as a nation or rather used to acknowledge as being rights gien to all people by our Creator.

Yes. It really hurts the Boeing workers in Seattle when they build more 737s for China. It really hurts Microsoft employees to sell OS's in China. Are you saying we shouldn't trade with them at all?
