Not so long ago they only made trinkets which were not high tech and unless tossed at us by hand could not be developed into technology to be used against us. Tell me did you raise immortal cain when it was discovered Clinton was giving {allowing} them high tech information including some which may be DOD related? If so the please tell me why do you support it now? If it was wrong for Clinton to do it it's wrong for Bush to do nothing to stop it or allow it to continue. What is worse a USAF plane with Secret equipment and documents is forced down by China and what was the response? Unkie had to miss a meal? No offical sanctions carry on nothing happened.
We do have other nations that buy our planes from Boeing and other companies. What is a good foreign trade partner? Look at Japan. They are among the best employers to work for {manufacturing wise} in the United States and non union. Microsoft? So tell me do you want the Hu version so Hu can know what you do too? How about I'm sorry HU but unless Internet is uncensored no Windows for you. Especially not for Hu to see who. Now that is how you bring about desired change. But it's obvious our trade with China is highly one sided to their advantage but nobody cares because of cheap products. We buy from them far more than they buy from us. The bankers tell us so. BTW if you are a shareholder in a company partnering with China how will you feel if/when Hu takes those factories away from you? Don't tell me it can't happen. Hitler did as much to fund WW2.
Our trade with China has become our dependence on China which is not by any means good unless you are a shareholder in a U.S. based company outsourcing labor there.

If congressional efforts to restore the program fail, the last of those flying warehouses will be delivered in 2008, and all airplane production would end in California — once the center of commercial and military airplane construction in the nation.

The original contract for for these planes was completed in 2004, and they bought some more after that. Exactly when should a program end? Only after it ends?
