My kids have guns, ammunition and knives.

Yeah, and i bet you're one of those fascist, sorry-butt, 2nd Amendment types that thinks that children should be raised to be honest, decent, honorable, and courageous -- instead of developing their skills at finding the most comfortable teat on the government sow.

People like you give me hope, uh, I mean, make me sick. There. Now I feel all safe.

TIME TO SHUT DOWN MYSPACE!

Why? It seems like a good resource to identify and snag these psychos.

It was just a lyric from "Oklahoma" Gary.

The story was breaking and the County had not been announced, Gary.

Thanks for all the valuable help, Gary.

"Cherokee County sheriff's deputies found guns, ammunition and knives in the bedroom of one of the suspects"

Yeh, when I was teen they would have found guns, ammunition, knives, explosives (M-80s), AND spring loaded traps as well.

" My guess is its just boys being boys talkin' big, but the worthless MSM will slant this as a potential Columbine as part of their their anti-gun agenda."

One of them was already stockpiling the necessary weapons.

That goes to intent WAY more than just someone mouthing off on a chat board.

This was not even close to Kansas City, but in Cherokee County, which is in the very Southeast corner of the state.

Actually, just the other day, police in Platte City (just north of KC, MO) arrested 2 HS kids for making terrorist threats of this sort.

I'd be willing to bet that there are kids all over the country who are doing this sort of crap.

It's probably best not to put your "secret" plans on the frickin' internet!

I was on a Grand Jury last summer. I learned an important lesson:

If you mug someone, don't use his cell phone to call your accomplices.

Did you make a habit of publishing threats of violence that would have given them reason to search and lend credence to a reasonable belief that you would use those items to launch an attack?

(ppsssst. I'm only pretending to be one of those idiots who think that if they know nothing about self-defense nothing bad will ever happen. Come on into the hole here, plenty of room for both of us -- and any armed kids you might want to bring along.)

The first amendment prevents that from happening, not the absence of God.

Goverment instructing students about God is telling them how to pray. I'll tell them about that myself.

At what point should the government be teaching children anything?

What you need to look at is the reality that exists now. It's not just an absence of God, it's a denial.

If you're talking about the mere existence of public education that's a different issue.

Yea, I always cringe when the media decries teenagers "Having access to guns". Ive kept a loaded weapon in my room since I was 11 or 12. All my friends did too. We managed to never kill anyone (Although we did manage to kill lots of delicious wildlife throughout middleschool and highschool)

I was in 9th grade (I think) when Columbine happened. The next day the principal announced that from now on, students would not be allowed to store firearms in their vehichles.

That seems like a long time ago.
