The border is not all private property. The fence will create bottlenecks to make it easier on the Border Patrol. Combine this with State Governors and Legislatures passing laws prohibiting illegals from receiving government subsidies and cracking down on companies that hire illegals and much progress will be made that the Feds do not want made. Truth is that a fence can be built by border states if the right government is elected and funded by bonds leaving only federal land where access is easy.

If these measures are taken those who wish to work in America will have a couple options.

1. Sneak in illegally through narrow federal land bottlenecks and move to liberal havens such as Massachusetts or Vermont where the laws are favorable to them.

2.Go through the proper channels to receive green cards, become accounted for and either leave when the card expires or request a path to citizenship.

This will cause Mexican immigrants to view those who do sneak in as cheaters and the stake the new citizens or even those with workers permits will have in keeping illegals out will be the same as ours.

This goes without saying, but any "Fed" that doesn't want progress to be made needs to be replaced with one who does. We need to start targeting the ones that need to be defeated so the people know who to vote against.
