"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

Good morning Lee and everyone. Thanks for the ping. It's a beautiful day in the peoples republic of Vermont.
Went to Costco yesterday. One of the men who serves samples told us about a server who has a heart condition. The guy was doing samples of lamb when he passed out. Apparently the customers were stepping over the man in order to get the lamb. When the manager started taking the samples away and was closing that particular sample station, people were going after him to get more free lamb. Not one person stopped to help the man who passed out So, if anyone tells you Vermonters are great people, keep in mind those were the Vermonters from 30 years ago. The new crop are a bunch of libs who only care about themselves.
