Won't we have to learn Arabic there?
I know a little Spanish - knowledge is a good thing and one should learn as much about as many things as possible in life.
But dang-nabit I don't want to HAVE to speak anything but ENGLISH here.
We need a LAW passed MANDATING English as an official language. And we have to STOP requiring notices, government documents, etc, to be written in English and Spanish.
American has become a nation of many ethnic and religious groups. The common glue which holds us all together is English and Anglo-Saxon customs and laws.
Personally I don't know if we need more immigrants or not, but immigrnat are not the problem. The problem is this hord of illegal invaders, primarily from south of the Border, who come here and expect US to learn THEIR langauge.
American politicians who continue to pander to special business interests who want these illegals here, and ignore the sentiments of most Americans on this topic, should be made to pay the penalty at the polls.
This should become a new litmus test for elected officials.
Do you support protecting our borders and laws removing illegals from our midst - then you get re-elected, if not, bye-bye. Then we move on to other issues.
By the way, the Minutemen are plannng to build a barrier along our southern border. Send them a contibution, and send a copy of the contribution to the White House, John McCain and "Teddy the Swimmer" Kennedy.
Maybe that will get their attention.
