*****You can severely reduce your chances of having a false accusation of rape leveled against you if you don't hire strange women to come to your house and take their clothes off for money.****

I was just thinking about that today. The Duke players mistake was that they invited the strippers into their world (their home). If the players had gone to a strip club instead (the strippers world) then they would have watched to show, whooped it up and then gone home and the next day everything would be back to normal. But when they let the strippers come into their world that's when they invited trouble. JAT

She's also making the broader point that each of us is able to control our own fate far more than people who specialize in victimology are willing to admit. It's a case of looking for dangerous situations and avoiding them. If the stripper is telling the truth (fat chance!) then she was partly the author of her own fate by going out and performing for a bunch of drunken louts after midnight. The louts, on the other hand, got themselves into this mess by not seeing the terrible risk they were taking by inviting a slut and whore into their home to "perform."

It's just like riding a motorcycle safely--you control your own fate by being constantly paranoid and being constantly aware of the bike and everything around you. With careful attention it's possible to avoid many accidents that are technically the other guy's fault. In this article, Ann's arguing for that kind of personal, individual responsibility and saying people can avoid a lot of trouble by taking it instead of always looking to blame somebody else for their troubles.
