Some are now afraid the split in their ranks could suppress participation May 1 and cause the movement to lose momentum.
Welcome to America! Once they see how things work around here maybe, they'll go home. (Just dreaming again)

I believe it's a donkey but I get your point.

Will they carry the red flag too on May Day?
I gurantee you won't see pictures of that or footage in the lamestream media. They learned quick with the second set of protests. The Mexican flag was gone, instead you saw only shots of American flags. Thats the template now.

But others fear such protests will make immigrants look anti-American, annoy the public and alienate lawmakers who are still wavering over how to reshape U.S. immigration policy Too late, amigos.

Immigrants are showing every American that our government has not done it's job in protecting us. We are now being shown how cruel Mexico is to it's immigrants. Some want the USA citizens to fight the world's battles, to give up their own jobs to third world nations, and to feed the world, now to take the people that the world does NOT want.
This is insult to the injury .

I agree with you. I was looking forward to going to the mall without thinking I just crossed into Mexico!

Dramatize the importance of immigrants to the economy?
What am I missing here?
People with no skills who don't speak the language are only in demand as long as they work cheap.
If they make themselves as expensive as American workers why would anyone want them here?
This needs to be pointed out - they were already taking up too many resources: healthcare, education and now we're supposed to give them more? I don't think so.
They can hit their beloved homeland up for these benefits which is what they should have been doing all along.

Of course you're correct because they're using all the tried and true communist rules of revolution......demonizing their opponents (calling them racists).....using their useful idiot media types to breathlessly cover every move of these "activists"......using rhetoric designed to inflame race relations......citing the oppression felt by these poor huddled masses of immigrants (in reality they're on their fat butts at home glued to Univision, etc. Every list I've seen of supporters for these marches always includes the Communist Workers Party.

North High School students walk out of class and march towards the state Capitol to a rally to support immigrant rights in Denver, Wednesday, April 19, 2006. Waving U.S. and Mexican flags and clogging a thoroughfare, hundreds of high school students descended on the state Capitol Wednesday. (AP Photo/Jack Dempsey)
