I wish McClellan well, but he was a terrible press secretary.
We have needed someone articulate and forceful. McClellan makes a typical funeral director seem assertive.
McClellan was horrible. Ari was very good and his book was much, much better than I expected it to be.
Scott McClellan has faced the press every day for 2-1/2 years and kept his calm. I haven't always thought it was super-effective, but I certainly appreciate his having done one of the most difficult jobs on this planet.
Good analogy.
