He would be VERY good. He is low key, yet has a sense of humor.

Tony, your country is in need of your service....please say yes, although I would miss your show, BUT I am willing to sacrifice listening to you if you can do this service for your country......PLEASE.

Just my observations on this:

It would be a great move for him, but it is a extremely difficult job as far as frustrations and the resulting physical effects.

Tony has decide whether it is worth it and if he can deal with the DC BS without a negative effect on his health.

This would be my dilemma as well. Job pressures have a way of screwing up my health, from blood pressure to stomach acid and everything in between.

Having said that, he would be a good choice!

Yep, it's the real Tony Snow.

Not onl is he a FReeper, he talks to us while he's on the radio. Talk about multi-tasking.

On the Press Secretary - I don't think he'll take it. He's been wanting to spend more time with his kids, trying to cut back at Fox TV because of his weekend gigs, and the travel for his radio show, trying to build more stations.

I suspect he's committed to radio at present, and taking this White House position, which would eat his personal time completely, .....nope, I don't think he'll do it.

In addition, the White House communications position, for whom he would work, is where he should really be.

That office is totally OFF message, and it goes higher than being Press Secretary, not that I don't think Tony could do a great job.

I just think being the head of WH communications gives him more clout, gives him the chance to frame the WH position - something far more important that being Press Sec.

File this under the now this makes sense catagory. I like Tony Snow alot but was so puzzled why he was singing the white houses song on immigration. Now it makes sense.

Hope he takes the job. Think he'll do a kick @ss job of it. That david gregory needs to be knocked in the head a few times.

Thanks for the note Tony. I appreciate it. As you know, McClellan did the only thing he could do, and announced his resignation. The incident is unfortunate.

"Ah........once again, the manwiththenytimesashissource speaks."

You're getting lazy, W. You forgot to label me a "troll", question my Christianity, or accuse me of being a DUmmie because I don't worship at the alter of St. George W. Bush the Great.

As I said: "damage control."

Even the BushBots are getting so nervous their getting thrown off their game.

Yep. He was offered the job, as were Torie Clark and Dan Senor, but Tony and the others haven't accepted it.

It is unfortunate somebody opened their big mouth, as it was clear Tony did not talk at all about the matter.

I feel bad for Scott. He is a genuine person.

Maybe so, but he was way in over his head.

I don't have to call you a troll. You say it in every post in which you echo the leftist media (like the one I responded to here).

However, I have never questioned your Christianity or accused you of being a DUmmie.......so perhaps you should work on your facts before you post again.

Then again, if you had your facts straight, you would have never posted in the first place.........

btw, this 'Bushbot' is not one bit nervous, nor are any of the rest of us, so called by leftists and trolls.

This 'Bushbot' has never been more proud of our strong and honorable Christian President than I am right now, which is exactly why I think that the strong and honorable Christian, Tony Snow is a perfect fit for this position.

Oh, I certainly agree. And, I hope Tony accepts. He would likely be one of the great press secretaries of history.

The knock on Tony, as far as this job is concerned, is that he's too darn nice. I think this job needs someone who can be a jerk when necessary to counter-act worse behavior from the press. While I have no doubt Tony can get tough, I have doubts whether he has any jerk-like qualities in him. At least I haven't seen any.

But I'll support him in this role, if he wants it. He knows what he's getting into.

Tony,

I hope you are offered the Job, and do take it! If you do, will you still post a thread here now and then????

Good luck to you!
