Hope they has good weather, damnedest lightening storm I ever experienced was one night while walking motor pool guard duty at Camp Funston there, scared the begeezus out of me.
As a matter of fact, in the summer of '73 I was on that bluff north of Funston running a large field mess hall operation as our unit was on field training and we got hit by a tornado or microburst (too dark to tell which) and it came twice in one night. Kind of like getting hit by niagara falls on wheels.
Today was sunny and fairly warm. Humid of course...it is Kansas.
