The answer to this is so obvious! Recount the number of times Bush has said he married above himself. Remember the Harriet Meyers fiasco, not too many people recall several weeks before that event the rumors that Laura was pushing for a female.

At one time I liked Bush, but now I think he has turned into another ineffective wuss taking orders from the person he believes is better than him - another vote I wasted.

There should be no such position. In fact, there should not be a Department of Education at all.

But I thought that was one of the Republican priorities in a former election cycle, and now that they have the House, Senate and the Presidency.......?

Well bushie boy has already demanded towns in virginia hire stupid cops as long as they have the right skincolor

Dumbed Down Cops (Bush Justice Department's Political Correctness Insanity Alert)

It has nothing to do with him being a feminist hes just a liberal rino pos that is enslaved to the PC mindset. What exactly does he propose to fix this shortfall of women in math and science? Kidnap them from other classes and force them at gunpoint to attend the math and science classes against thier will?

I got myself all worked up.

Schlafly's column was posted on Townhall.com yesterday. Talk about being behind the curve.

Thanks for finding that.

What would it take? Living in a different Country. It would never happen in the Country we live in today.

Someone please remind me of the difference between the GOP and Democrats? It's so easy to forget these days.

When I was in grad school, I wound up being the student rep for the department and was in on the hiring process. It amazed me that for one professorship in chemistry, we had over 200 applications and the top 5 were all men. The university admin screamed bloddy murder that there were no women on the short list so we had to add one and interview her. The best one was about #152 out of 200. The comparison between the top candidates and her was stark. The top candidates had each over 200 papers and won significant international recognition. THe woman was a post doc with about 15 papers and no awards. Yet the university administrastion put incredible pressure on the department to hire her. The dept cahir reminded the administrators that the chemistry department brough in millions of dollars in grants every year and the top candidates would be bringing those dollars. The post doc would likely bring in a small grant, maybe enough for a grad student and thats all. When $'s started talking, the PC left the building.

I'm shocked that the administration didn't insist on hiring #152 anyway in the name of diversity.

An internal Title IX regulation invented by Carter and Clinton administration feminists... established the "proportionality" of men and women enrolled in a college as the bean-counting goal for the proportion of men and women on sports teams. If the percentage of men on sports teams is too high, then the college can expect to be sued for alleged gender discrimination, even though men are far more interested in sports than women.

The Bush Administration is getting ready to apply this same mindless mentality to math and science departments,

Like Esau, we conservatives have sold our birthright for a bowl of pottage.

Title IX has been a catastrophe for the "brain assets" of the united states.

It has discouraged the best and brightest in favor of the quota queen and mediocre.

This is why career bureacrats must be purged.

If a person has a degree in feminist studies, it should mean she is unemployeed.

It will make hard science soft.

Remember the leftists are the same school as Goebles and his wackado aryan science. The feminists are the same school. These are the same wackos who bring out the "gay" gene to justify absence of personal responsibilty.

2+2= a feeeeling of 5ish.
