"when I read the small print I changed my mind" is so funny. There used to be saying that it was easier to live as a Protestant but easier to die a Catholic. The small print is what the thoughtful person reads before making a commitment. Bishop Sheen had all of my Protestant friends enthralled as he stimulated them intellectually and with humor. They didn't convert but then that was not the objective of the Sheen program. He wanted to win souls for Christ, and did his best to give his viewers a reason to become Christians.

When I tried to explain Bishop Sheen's show to my kids they convulsed into laughter! Couldn't believe that a show like that could actually have been popular! Oh, for the simpler times!! ;>)

His engaging humor, that appealed to people of various religions, contrasts starkly with the inflexible Imams who condone those who behead infidels and blow up innocents.
