There was an interesting clip on the local NC news of illegals filing income taxes. [Believe it or not.] Their reason was to help bolster their argument to become citizens at a later date. I don't endorse amnesty, but I like the way these folks were thinking.
That must be interesting: filing tax returns on somebody else's S.S. number...
But I think if they are in fact filing returns, it's for an altogether different purpose:
My wife works at a place that employs a number of shall we say, "unusually documented" cabinet-makers.
They first go to either Wisconsin or North Carolina to get an I.D.
When they come here, their W-2s all show that they have at least 13 dependents; so, they're not paying any withholding at all.
If these guys were filing returns, then, they'd be getting "refunds" due to the so-called "Earned Income Credit" that amounts to nothing more than a hand-out.
