On checking, I guess there is no (e) on the end of Bob Livingston's name. I wonder if it can be removed.
Thanks in advance.

What a great piece! What would we call Flynn, an 'armchair' Democrat?!

Livingston wasnt a "senator". He would have been the speaker of the House had he not resigned.

Well it only goes to show that the 'Rat crowd knows how to play the 'pubbies. In the 'pubbie political culture, if you come up lame, or show weakness ... you're jettisoned in a heartbeat. Give 'Rats their due ... they circle their own in time of crises ... not so republicans.

Give 'Rats their due ... they circle their own in time of crises ... not so republicans.Sad but true. Impatient Republicans moan and groan and start threatening to vote for third parties or "stay home". With "friends" like that it's no wonder a Republican majority doesn't seem like a majority.

I remember that Livingston folded like a wet napkin, so there must have been *something* in his closet he was worried about. It's amazing that so many GOPers have no spines, guts or balls, isn't it?

Very well said - thank you.

I, unlike the Dems, think it's important to place loyalty to principle above loyalty to tribe. We do have an affirmative obligation to ensure that accusations are not unfairly launched, but if one of our own screws up, we can't keep him on the masthead. I don't know the whole story here, but it sounds as if Flynnt (despicable as he is), might have hit a live issue with dud ammunition. If Livingston fought it, I'd gladly hear his view, but he's not giving me much.

Quite frankly, if he was able to be bluffed by piece-of-sh*t like Flynt, he didn't belong in Congress in the first place.

I agree with you...The rats and hustler had something on Livingston......

I've always thought the puff piece movie about Flynt was a payback for him being a hit man for the Rats.

Putting party over principle is how we ended up in this mess.

Perhaps a "Spine, Guts, and Balls Store" should be opened very soon in D.C.
