Why? I rarely watch O'Reilly but this was worth it. O'Reilly's populist rant unfortunately sounds too much like many Republicans. If Exxon wants to pay this guy $400 mil, good for them. They recognize what the CEO did for the past 40 years. Not going to change where I get my gas from, the local Citgo has the lowest prices for me currently
Bill just has absolutely no comprehension of the oil industry.
Why does he think oil companies are to be charities while any other industry is free to market its products?
Yet, I have for years felt that the CEO's are playing the baseball player salary game. Funny how they compare salaries of other like organizations to determine employee salaries - funny that they results usually indicate that comparable position salaries are lower.
Funny how the CEO's compare like organization salaries and always seem to find that their salaries are too low.
Sort of like a round-robin. Salaries for executives always spiral upward, salaries for normal employees do not.
I have always felt it was robbery from the top by the CEO's. Stockholders are the only ones that can change it, and there are too many institutional funds that restrict stockholder ability to bring about change.
Isn't Citgo owned by Venuzuala? Just an observation.
Mark
hey Citgo is wholly owned by Chavez.....or at least his country....
well put, Capitalism is the best system, it has provided the world with the greatest wealth ever seen. For those who think it is "obscene" I would argue first and foremost that government is obscene with its incessant greed for our hard earn tax dollars. It's sad to see so many upset over what Exxon pays this guy. If you don't like it, don't by Exxon gas. ENVY is the worse of all vices -- it has led to immeasurable misery and death for so many millions.
As some guy said yesterday on Rush...That's 1.33 from each driver FOR ONE DAY!....Gotta get some perspective B4 U (OReilly)open mouth.....
