Buy high, sell low?
No one gets rich by churning his own account ... only your broker gets richer like that! LOL ... but, anyone who has watched XON over the past 30-40 years will realize that the only time one buys high and sells lower ... is after a stock split ...LOL
There are still people who buy good stocks to own them indefinitely ... and usually wind up richer than they started out. Of course, one has to watch the obvious ... and not hold on to a company like GM and AT&T [once fine stocks] until the companies are in the toilet.
....or Lucent. Ouch!
