But I thought that Bush's low approval numbers were going to sweep the Dems into power in the mid-term elections.

Our government is out of touch dangerously so. from illegal aliens and open borders to spending to expanding big gov to shipping jobs overseas to loss of private property rights and the congress appears inept with an out of touch president thrown in..the bums need to be voted out.

Might the 12 year low have anything to do with Congress' abdication of the American interests in favor of maintaining the $$$$$ flow to Mexico?
Might the 12 year low also have anything to do with Congress' smearing of the Minute Men in favor of Illegal Felons?

Key point: The press is trying to tie Bush as weighing down Congressional Republicans' chances (they hope). But Bush is polling about ten points better than Congress.

Congress deserves its low rating, as does the media.
Too damn bad we're stuck with these idiots.

Naw, tax-time deadlines couldn't have anything to do with it either. We're a minute late in this public heist and we get penalties slapped on us, yet millions who are trespessing illegally cannot even be held or arrested by most any layer of govt or police enforcement, let alone accountable to the IRS.

Every successful movement self-destructs from within. So it will be with the Republican Revolution as well unless the utopian wing of the party sucks it up and supports Republicans this year, gripes aside.

Public approval of the job Congress is doing has dipped to its lowest level of 2006, and is now the worst Gallup has recorded since the closing days of the Democratic majority in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1994."
You've got to be kidding me.
Here I thought everything was coming up daisies and it was Karl Rove ... Scooter Libby ... Donald Rumsfeld ... the President that was in jepardy of loosing the 2008 election.
Live and learn.

A slip of 4 points since March for Congress is nothing compared to GW Bush who lost 6 points since LAST FRIDAY!! [Rasmussen]
Polls are for chicken littles to substantiate their reality gaps between elections and for the uninformed to be reminded how others "FEEL" at the moment so they know how they should "FEEL" too.
