Geez I thought he was dead. The Military channel put the AK and the M-16A2 up against each other in head to head shoot off. The M-16 won all around - mostly on accuracy. IMHO the M-16 is best all around but to complicated for many people. However, there have been days when i would of liked to have a 30 cal. weapon.
I was making 2" ten round patterns at 200yrds with my AR-15A2 yesterday. Wind was quarting the range from my back left->right gusting from 15-25MPH. DPMS Southpaw, scoped, 20" bull barrel 1:9 left hand twist. 55gr SP with 25.7gr of W748. Yes, I can provide pictures of my targets to prove it.
Try that with an AK. You'd be lucky to keep all on the same target.
CETME. FAL. M14. All are far superior weapons to the AK or the AR. But, few want to lug around the heavier ammo, whine constantly about the recoil, ect...
