Tony will send you a real, actual, signed photo -- not stuff that people have to download. Please pass it on.

By the way, if you miss anything, the show is streamed again immediately after the three hours. Please feel free to add thread narrative about what is aired on the show as a group effort is helpful to get more of the content posted and is much appreciated by those reading the thread later. If you’d like on or off the Tony Snow Show ping list, please post a request. All requests happily honored.

"Woof" is used in broadcasting to say "stop," "that's enough" or to mark a specific point in time -- which is what is done in this case. "Tony's show starts in 3 minutes: WOOF!" Means in 3 minutes from-- NOW!

Yes, she's starting our guest house where we'll stay when we go until I build the "big" retirement house about 7-8 years from now...

I told Mr. TOL , that our "retirement house" has to have wheels. This way we can stay 2 states ahead of the kids! ;-)

Don't you mean you do not have food until after 5/7?

My wife is a great cook, and I cannot diet when she is at home. Hopefully, I can take off at least 25 to 30 pounds while she is gone.

Two Gardens

Read:
John 18:1-11

The Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. —Genesis 2:8

Bible In One Year: 2 Samuel 1-2; Luke 14:1-24

cover Two gardens are mentioned prominently in the Bible: the garden of Eden and the garden of Gethsemane. God placed the first man, Adam, in the garden of Eden; Jesus went into Gethsemane to restore what the first man had lost.

The first Adam sinned in the garden; the last Adam took this sin upon Himself. The garden of Eden had the tree of life, which man could have enjoyed forever had he not broken fellowship with God. The garden of Gethsemane was a step toward the tree of death (Acts 5:30; 1 Peter 2:24). By Adam's transgression, he forfeited his right to the tree of life and brought death to all mankind. He who hung on the tree of Calvary conquered death and by His glorious resurrection restored the tree of life to all who believe.

The garden where Adam fell is gone from the earth, but there is a glad day coming when He who suffered alone in Gethsemane will restore all things. The curse will be lifted from the earth, the animals will again be docile (Isaiah 11:6-8), the deserts will disappear (Isaiah 35:6), the earth will yield her increase abundantly (Amos 9:13), and Jesus will be here personally to bless His people (Revelation 21:3).

What Adam lost, Jesus will restore. —M. R. De Haan, M.D.

Adam was God's first man in creation—
He through sin brought death to all mankind;
Jesus came to earth to bring salvation:
Trusting Him, eternal life we'll find. —Hess

God formed us; sin deformed us; Christ transforms us.

Time magazine reports that defense attorneys for the Duke students are saying the police conducted a sting operation in that e-mail where students threatened to kill a stripper. Freepers confirm it can be done.

I figured Thailand was far enough to escape most...and cheap enough eats that going places is really easy! I'm on a lake and there are many nice beaches within a few hours.

Yesterday we met neighbors and friends for a quick brunch before going to dinner with my parents. There were 8 of us. We got talking about the state of the world today. Without exception, all 8 feared the US is heading toward socialism and are disgusted with Congress. All of them -- Republicans and Democrats alike.

My wife made enough food for me to "nuke" for the month and froze it. After that it's Burger King and China Buffet. After the 7th, I'm on my own. I can do soft boiled eggs and that's about it. (I know I am spoiled, but I'm just one of those folks that's a total disaster in the kitchen).

Yeah, that's one of the reasons I'm retiring to Thailand. With only God knowing who will be President after, I figure I'll retire early if it's Hillary(?) and later if we can get some sanity.

Oh, I have been old for years! I have gardened since I was in my early 30's.

You will know you are truly hooked when you think about putting in water features, like ponds and fountains. Heheheh.
