My wife wants a pug when we run out of cats, but I agree, corgis are pretty cool too.

Never had a pug so can't comment on the merits...corgis have been the best I've owned. Great with kids, pleasant disposition, and intelligent.

I've never had a pug either, a couple family friends have them. they are little characters. I wouldn't want too large a dog in any case. we used to have mostly mutts when I was a kid.
