It won't hurt the country that much if the Democrats take the House (but only the House) for a few terms.

Then how do you expect conservative bills to be introduced into Congress? They won't get out of committee. Instead we'll see plenty of liberal bills that we can have the satisfaction of voting against and of course filibustering. Hard to score points playing defense... that is real points.

I don't. But I expect them to be introduced in a following, Republican Congress and have a real chance of passing.

That is my point! For the first time ever, I am seriously campaigning for a third party because the Republicans have had complete control of governmnet for years and have been playing defense when they should be playing offense. If they have had complete control of the government and can't get anything done, and have to make compromises with the minority party(i.e., the immigration bill two weeks ago), then they will never get anything done for us! Nothing. I am sorry, but when you hand a party complete control of government for the first time in its history and it accomplishes nothing after four years, then that party is impotent and flawed and needs serious change.

In general I agree with you.... however in the case of our weenie Repub senators, the DemonRATS led by Dingy Dirty Harry Reed have controlled nearly every aspect of the Senate since Nov 2004. Frist lets the RINOS betray him, and thus there is no real concensus among the Repub weenies to go head to head in combat against the DemonRATS. In fact I would say that the Repubs are generally scared to death to combat any of the DemonRAT traitors. As much as I despise the DemonRATS, I wish I could trade our top 4-5 Repubs for the top 4-5 DimWits, reverse their ideologies to aggressive conservative, and I think we (conservative Repubs) would control both the agenda & the tempo of the Senate. Currently it is a ineffective bureaucratic disaster, with Reed manhandling Frist and essentially dictating to Frist whatever & whenever the DemonRATS are ready to legislate or vote. Our Repub senators are miserably pathetic weenies & cowards!

Where are aall of the conservative bills coming out of Congress now? We've had control of both houses.

Who gave us the Kennedy Education Bill?

Who gave us McCain Feingold?

Who gave us the multi billion dollar drug bill?

Who gave us the PATRIOT Act?

Who gave us the smallest and only tax cuts that were scheduled to be phased out?

Who has refused to do anything about illegal immigration?

I know. Reelect them one more time with a greater majority and then they'll really, really do some good stuff.
