Look, Democrats, Republicans, what difference does it really make? I'm through voting Republican just because they're not as bad as the Dems. In many ways they are, in some ways they are even worse.
Remember the Contract With America? How much of that was put into law? Which Party is leading the way in spending? I'm willing to wait and see how these two new judicial seats work out on the Supreme Court; but I'm not optimistic.
It may be that Anthony Kennedy will become the new Sandy O'Connor, voting the liberal party line in every five to four decision.
What has changed since 1994?
This is a rhetorical question, right?
Republicans are anti-Abortion, Democrats are pro-Abortion, just to mention one issue.
I know.
It angered me that Bush didn't name Ginsberg II and III right off the bat.
I also was infuriated when he signed the late term abortion ban. Just as infuriated as when he signed that Tax-rate cut into law.
Oh, yeah, and spent all his political capital on trying to get SS reform.
What a fool I was not to vote for the Constittuional candidate.
What has changed since 1994?
How does not voting for Republicans help to tip that equation in favor of a conservative majority in the Supreme Court in the future?
I remember one famous conservative asking, "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?"
