the sad truth is we have many more than 11 million here now and thousands every day coming across the borders..
One day I fear we will wake up and it will have been too late as these all will get the vote and change our country into a socialist "heaven" of the third world.
Your freedoms are leaking away..Private property rights are gone, soon many others will follow..supported by the Socialist mind set of these "harmless" illegals who will vote.
Unions and the Jesse Jackson crowd will attempt to corral Hispanics under one big Rainbow for his personal enrichment and power, and entitlements/reparations/affirmative action, handouts/victimhood for illegals. Jesse's only problem is convincing blacks he hasn't sold out to Hispanics, but he's handling that...'Illegals ('immigrants', notice the whitewashing of the truth) -- the new Civil Rights movement'!
I am a public high school teacher at a large urban school. We have a school population that mirrors, pretty closely, the US population.
I don't have any answers, but I have generalizations whose accuracy I would swear to:
Asians and Whites make up the great bulk taking AP and high level math courses.
Browns and Blacks take the classes they see as easiest to pass.
Black males (especially) are headed for disaster. Drop out rates are huge. Their main interest in life seems to be about being decked out in current, expensive, ghetto fashion. Two hundred dollar sneakers, sagging pants, and expensive, turned on an angle, baseball caps.
We are losing black males in huge numbers. If we point out that their adoption of a street culture is killing them we are called racists or cultural imperialists. So we just keep watching it happen.
What a shame.
