Interesting. I'd chalk it up to most of us like to hear news from a perspective that echos our own core beliefs. Fox is too middle and more often lately slightly left of center of the road to suit me.

Lou Dobbs is a great asset in the patriotic struggle against the treason embraced by so many of our elected Republicrat officials.

I agree with the Minutemen! Lou Dobbs is a great American, and if he was in charge of immigration enforcement, America would actually have some say in the matter!
Presently we are being ignored by the morons in Washington.

Funny how a flaming liberal like Lou Dobbs becomes the golden boy for supposed "conservatives"
Lou Dobbs is a Republican, you know. A conservative one at that.

Corporations are making money, business is good, why shouldn't the CEO's be compensated.
Because it is the shareholders, and not the CEO, who owns the company. The CEO should be compensated, but the present situation is one where corporate boards are diluting the ROI for shareholders and turning that money over to CEOs in ever increasing amounts.
Perhaps we should try outsourcing management.

I've been liking Lou Dobbs a lot lately. Never paid much attention to him before.

Dobbs ought to be hired by Fox and put in O'Reilly's spot. Make O'Reilly a Saturday night 11:00pm show. BWA HA HA HAHA HA HA HA HAHA!
I like Brit Hume best, though. He's a real news man, imho.

This is a good idea, actually. Dobbs show has been less of a "no spin zone" than O'Reilly's of late. O'Reilly lost all credibility with me when he came out in favor of the homosexuals.

Really? Hannity & Colmes was one of the first outlets to put cameras on the border, as far as I can tell.

I would like to see Lou employed by a more worthy news station. I doubt that anyone else would hire Lou Dobbs. Right now people from the left AND right are seriously angry with him.

It has nothing to do with Hume's absence. Most people don't know who's on in advance when they tune in, and Jim Angle is pretty damn good as the regular sub.
The problem is that nearly half of the show is given over to some worn out twits, all of whom (Barnes, Kondrake, Liason, Kristol, Williams, and to a lesser extent Krauthammer)are all for illegal aliens and amnesty. These clowns make millions just for BS'ing and live in fancy gated communities far removed from the problems average Americans face with illegals devaluing their property, corrupting their culture, and taking their jobs.
Their average day has them in communion not with average working folks, but with those inside-the-Beltway parasites of politicians, lobbyists, corporation moguls, special interest zealots, and fellow pundits. One would think "fair and balanced" Fox would allow other opinions, but with regard to illegal immigration, it is a monolith of elitists presenting only one side of an issue.
A lot of Dobbs' new listeners are Hume Special Report faithful like me who just can't take the constant drumbeat for illegal aliens on that show and know they can hear some honest discussions by Dobbs who has the courage to put the pro-illegal morons in their place.
Watch all the tap dancing from these pro-illegal talking heads next November when they try to explain the Republican's loss of power. All of us know it will be because the party would not back up the will of the people but would only consider the corporate greed mongers wishes.
The faithful will stay home because of immigration, but the pundits will try to pass it off as the war problems or corruption or 6-year fatigue. But we will know the real reason.
Karl Rove thinks we hate brown people. This "genius" who nearly wrested defeat from the jaws of runaway victory in 2004 can't fathom that we hate law breakers. Let's see Karl Rove deal with Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid and the impeachment trial in 2007 that occurs because of his thick-headedness.

Comment:
A lot of what you say I agree with, some I don't.
Somehow my gut feel is that the Presidents advisers let him be backed into a corner.
Having to defend a position that is unpopular now and will only be more unpopular as time goes along.
I am not against a farm guest worker program only if the government will just secure the damn borders.
I also get the scary feeling that true conservatives are on the edge of being odd man out in the game of Washington politics.
