but it's ironic. You go as a peace activist and you are rescued by the SAS

Not ironic at all...predictable, and sad that they had to risk their lives to save his...but that is what they do, and they go honrably about it.

"I thought it might help the Canadians, if they got rid of the Brit...."

Faulty logic. This assumes the Islamofascists were actually stirred up by the coalition. To them, an infidel is an infidel is an infidel, regardless of their pro- or anti-war stance.

He says he considered it and needs to tell us all about it. But apparently he didn't even try or do anything to plan it in case he decided to do it. This is the kind of drama queen shtick I'd expect from a "holier than thou, I'm nobler than thee", peace activist.

I'm sure the situation he was in was terrifying, but he could spare us this little melodrama. That facts are sufficient.

I disagree with their profession — but it's ironic. You go as a peace activist and you are rescued by the SAS.

It's never to late to learn or to change your mind.

"I continue to thank them for what they did," he said. "They were brave. I disagree with their profession — but it's ironic. You go as a peace activist and you are rescued by the SAS."

UNBELIEVALBLE!

His pride and ego get in the way of reality - EVEN NOW!

No, it would have been ironic if fellow peace activists came in with guns blazing to rescue you.

They helped to liberate 25 million, you helped enable a murdering dictator. You sleep soundly under the blanket of freedom their profession provides you. A peace activist is nothing more than self-loving coward.

Yeah, I had a guy in a bible class handing out Tom Foxx quotes. Its good to see that these guys took their "suffering servant" ideals to heart. I think they only went over there because they believe these terrorists are nobel savages that have been oppressed by the power structures of America. They really don;t think that these people are evil.

A little note on Norman Kember. Same age as myself, he lived one district over from me. I did not know him though. Apparently got off National Service, (conscription) which would have been about 1950. 18 year olds did about two years service.

I remember how the British Army abused Jehovahs Witnesses by throwing them into a cold cell. They stripped them and then put in army uniforms to force them to wear the uniform.

All that time, most of the lads (me included) did not know about how the likes of Kember fiddled it. Another dodge- eventually the army twigged, was to join the bloomin' Communist Party. The membership card was then put on the bed for inspection. Bye bye Sergeant Major. LOL.

A lot of "Communists" then began to appear, that probably could not even spell Communist. They then had to do their time.

I feel like a good laugh today. Kember- just damn!.
