24 hours ago at this very moment.... he was at my feet, resting under the computer desk.........just like every other night. How could I have NOT known he was so sick? I knew he hadn't been feeling well, but I had no idea it was so bad.

I'm sorry for you loss Lori. I've been there a time or two with good boys and girls who went on. I wrote a song about one of them.
Sasha's Song
I met her in her twilight years,
Just loosing fur behind her ears,
But her heart still dwelt where puppies roam,
When she came to visit in my home.
She sensed adventure in the ride,
All bathed and brushed, by Lady's side,
And times, and treats at journey's end,
Then sleeping over with a friend.
As time passed on I knew her well,
With her mistress I came to dwell.
I learned of all her dainty ways,
And joined the routine of her days.
I remember many a day we spent,
In times when the Lady paid the rent,
We walked and talked in lanes and wood,
And I often felt she understood.
The summer gone and autumn passed,
The winter came with wrath at last,
It robbed her of her fragile grace,
And ravaged age upon her face.
She's gone off now to run and play,
Where times and treats fill every day,
Good bye good dog, go where you will...
The Lady and I love you still.

It's just really hard to lose a beloved pet.. I blamed myself for not catching my "best buddy" cat's illness when she had cancer. It's been I think over 3 years and more pets have come into my life..but I miss her still.

Coronado, Calif. (April 10, 2006) - A pilot assigned to the "Warhawks" of Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Ten (HS-10) demonstrates the use of the emergency strobe on a helicopter pilot's vest to Naval Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps (NJROTC) Company Chief Petty Officer Daniel R.
