No DNA means she wasnt raped! Thats a lie, since the overwhelming majority of sexual assault cases dont have DNA evidence.
Photographs will show she was beaten up before she got to the party! Really? And where are these photographs? Why dont you show them instead of talking about them? That would be something to see an exotic dancer performing with one eye swollen shut and strangulation marks on her neck. And you know, even that wouldnt prove she hadnt been raped at the lacrosse party.
She stole a car once! So the fuck what?

Maybe Violet has data.
The left has got a real pattern going with this "move on" crap. I was extremely p.o.'d going up to the election how day after day it was one bogus assault on the administration after another (e.g., the military left tons of explosive weapons all over Iraq) and then when the story collapsed we would just move on. No apology. No retraction. Just political points scored, vague impressions left in people's minds and "moving on."
The left needs to make a plausible case that this woman was raped or this event must be remembered as Tawana Brawley is remembered.
I am big on "teachable moments" and I still continually bring up incidents that are a decade or two old, like the incredibly bigoted thing that I heard Bill Moyers said one election night back in the late 80s. Anytime he shows up on CSPAN he is in danger that I will get through and throw his old words right in his face.
I will not move on. I will be calling talk shows, posting on the internet and writing letters to the editor twenty years from now (by God's grace) and referring to this left-wing lynch mob.
Er... one per orifice? [ducks/runs]
Echoes.... of MD4Bush are coming to mind......
Not subpoeaning Kim = not wanting to get at the truth of this situation.
I have been a lot more gentle with Nifong than most people here. But I am pretty much out of patience if he fails to use the GJ creatively.
I think a reasonable thing for him to do would be to break convention and make a full and balanced presentation (rather than strictly a one-sided "probable cause" showing). If the GJ, returned a "no bill," then he could tell the community that he had done his job.
But if he pushes for an indictment, without a smoking gun but relying on the built-in, pro-prosecution bias of the process, then we will know who he truly is.
"They are bored, they're practically yawning. This is not a group of rowdy, dangerous people," says one of the attorneys.
LOL. Alcohol does that to me now. But I'm old :-)
So Kim isn't being called to testify to the GJ. Well, if there's a trial, I'm sure she'll be called. She's the prosecutions worst nightmare, I'll bet.
The American Thinker has a great piece on that topic, recalling several recent college campus hate crime hoaxes. The left will be just as quick to move on from this story as from all the others.
The DA and those involved are in everybody's faces -- not caring -- that their case doesn't hold a fat farthing in reality. They know it doesn't. And they are being bold and in open defiance of our legal system. Their taunt? "So whatcha gonna do about it".
Outside the obvious "downsides" (riots, convictions with no evidence).. It's about President Bush. Will the SCOTUS weigh in. Will there be a riot large enough to require the National Guard? Will the illegals join in to hurrah over this triumph.
And, can they besmirch's the President's legacy with a race riot and "bad law".
I've been trying to figure some things out since this morning.
The left is cocking a snook. It's the result of their feverish work on their "Truth to Power" agenda. What it means is, disregarding facts in order to become empowered.
They know the case has more holes than Tommy's bucket. They know America knows. And they are being obviously very deliberate.
There should be no sense of "incredulousness" or commentary about stupid Nifong is being. His actions and behaviors, IMHO, are deliberate. And now the "larger" players coming in on cue. Hillary will show up soon, I'm betting.
I've seen this play before.

Attorney Bill Thomas says a member of the defense team interviewed the other dancer who performed that night and she "has stated point blank she does not believe this allegation."

We were griping upthread that this was published and then removed on Friday from various web sites. It's back again.
I do remember Arbrams saing she left the house fully dressed, clothes intact--no rips or tears.
He sure did.
No one disputes the fact that even a whore can be raped. It is still against the law and not just as a theft.
I bet violet doesn't get many dates! ;-)
if the grand jury is mostly black, you can bet already they will vote for charges.......I don't think the DA needs a unanimous vote....
My husband and I are big letter-writers, too, but we don't call shows anymore because we can never get through. Keep up the great work!!
What was it that Moyers said twenty years ago? Gawd, I despise him mightily!!
They would have had to all been doing it at the same time, lol!
I don't think he has the personal ethic or the guts to do the right thing. I hope I'm wrong. But, so far, I just don't see the spine it takes to do the right thing.
He would never, ever be taking these steps if the victim was white or if the alleged suspects were black.
CBS was using Moyers in their election-night coverage in a non-presidential year, might have been 1990.
At 7:35 p.m. the first fragmentary returns had come in. They were from a couple of southern states and showed a lead for the GOP in congressional races.
Moyers was sputtering with indignation and offered this commentary: "When you see the South voting Republican like this, that is racism."
(I am happy to say that I have raised this issue both on the Larry King Show and on CSPAN although, unfortunately, Moyers was not there for me to confront him personally. King, of course, thought that I must be some kind of racist for complaining.)
Even with "concurrent processing", it would have had to been a rush job.
