I doubt there are very many electronic engineers, biochemistry majors or pharmacy majors stuck living at home with mom and dad.

But the myth that a non-technical degree from a second-tier or lower liberal arts college will do anything for you in the 21st century is one of the biggest scams since Social Security. There are just two options -- go to law school, or go work at Starbucks.

Unfortunately what it says is that you at least finished something you started.

And of those two I would rather have another million baristas than a million barristers.

Our is, and we like it.

Daughter just graduated from college with an honors degree in Comp Sci. Got a great offer to work at a major R&D facility near where we live. We asked her to stay at home. We get free house sitting, and she saves a lot of money. Its working out well. Then again, she is doing this by choice and it is beneficial to all of us.

Actually, English majors --those who can actually write--find employment. As one can tell by reading what we put up here, good writers are rare.

More options: work for a non-profit organization, or work for the government!
