South Park's past caricatures of Jesus haven't been that negative. In the past they have had him living quietly in South Park sort of ignored by all the pompous self-centerd, fad-obsessed, adult residents. (Pompous self-centered fad-obsessed left-wing adults vs 'rational' libertarian elementary school kids is the whole point of the show!)They did show him as a 'talk show host' on local cable access who wanted to talk about serious subjects instead he had to follow the advice of his 'media adviser' in order to keep his ratings up. I found that episode to be a metaphor for churches that opt for 'entertainment' in their services rather then a real service.
Stone & Parker are the Jonathan Swift's of TV. They are equal opportunity hecklers and are ready to puncture with the glee the pretensions of Hollywierd or anyone else who has publicly demonstrated a sense of obnoxious self-importance. In fact they are probably one of the best weapons we have against the Islamofascists.

Nicely stated. South Park, Colorado pays more attention to Kenny than they do to Jesus.
Since I only lurk SP threads, whatever happened to Old Cracker (I don't remember his exact screen name)?
