I'm trying to figure out if the Comedy Central censoring Mohammed was a joke or was serious. But they have no problem showing Jesus. Were they merely pointing out the hypocracy of western media, or are they actually participating in that hypocracy?

South Park is created by Matt Stone and Trey Parker. They created the cartoon with the benign image of Mohammed and the insulting image of Jesus, knowing that the cowards at Comedy Central (who air, but do not create the show) would censor one and not the other.

The point was to illustrate the cowardice and hypocrisy of Comedy Central and western media in general, in the face of threats of violence by islametards.

They cleverly gave the appearance that they were being irreverent and insulting to Muhammad without actually committing the sin.

Their fans are convinced. Muslims are satisfied. Its a win-win in this respect.

But, obviously, truth didn't win. The truth has been battered and strangled in the name of spineless political correctness.
