World gone mad

14apr06

Countries such as our own are more than ever home to people who say they don't belong and don't really want to.

IT being a Saturday, I sat under the oak with a coffee to read a newspaper. And on one scary page after another I discovered a lot of influential people really had given up on defending us and this rotten society.

Sure, you wouldn't have had to borrow my paper to have guessed already that the West was in strife.

Countries such as our own are more than ever home to people who say they don't belong, and don't really want to, either. Brrrr, no.

Right here in Melbourne, we have Aboriginal protesters in the Botanic Gardens who say this is their land -- not anyone else's -- and our laws do not apply.

In Sydney we have Muslim preachers who warn their followers our democracy is not for them, and they owe their loyalty to Allah, not Australia. (See my other column today

It's time for Western civilization to ruthlessly assert its primacy... if it wants to survive. If we are not in the first position, whoever is - whether it be Communists or Islamists or any other variety of totalitarian - will not let us live.

You bet. And guess what - we are exceedingly good at doing so. All we need to do is wake up and brush off a few ole manuals Europeans wrote a few years back.

Very good point. Many that advocate the downfall of Western civilization seem to ignore the fact that someone will take charge. This is especially true of the idiots that long for "utopia".

That page is not loading for me... it gives me title and background but no text and is stuck in constant-load mode. =(

The world was much better off when the British Empire was around.

Couldn't agree more...

We really have nobody to blame but ourselves for these turns of events.

I have come to understand a very fundamental fact of life - nothing is yours, be it culture or property, until you are willing and able to defend it.

Why we're lying down like sheep is beyond me!

Your question is about what really lies at the heart of the matter. Thoughtomator's remark is absolutely right, of course. This is what must happen in order for our civilization to survive the challenge we face. The problem (which you allude to) is that Thoughtomator and those who agree with him represent a tiny minority - a remnant, if you will - of the tradtional west. The majority of today's Westerners, including many posting at this site who call themselves "conservative", cannot even begin to comprehend Toughtomator's remark in its full meaning.

Thus you ask: Why are we (meaning the majority of the populace in Western countries) taking it all lying down?

This is indeed a profoundly difficult question. The best answer I've seen for it is to be found here: http://www.amnation.com/vfr/archives/004210.html

People must reject the whole program of liberalism - including that which calls itself "conservative" - in order for Thoughtomator's logical solution to even come up for serious consideration. Cultures and peoples are not literally equal - some have strengths in one aspect and weaknesses in another. All of liberalism - the notion that humans are perfectable - is a huge, monstrous lie. This lie has permeated every nook and cranny of Western society from Iceland to Israel. The belief in this lie - taught every day as gospel in public schools - is leading us to our destruction.
