What part of the Fifth and the Fourteeth Amendments don't you get? Why are the words "God-given, unalienable, life and liberty" so hard for you to comprehend?
You take words out of context and you use them to defend repulsive, unborn-killing, federalism.
Read the entire Constitution. Then go back and carefully read the BOR. Then go find the Federal Papers and read them too.
Observe the context of the Bill of Rights. Then specifically read the Ninth and Tenth Amendment to understand the full context of the Constitution.
Your centralized government interpretation of the Fifth Amendment is comic book-like in its understanding and it's balls-to-the-wall liberal in its philosophy.
Worse yet, it plays into the liberals hands of controlling our judiciary and killing our unborn.
Enjoy your federalism.
It would seem that you lack a basic understanding of what 'federalism' is.
It's not a curse word. Our system is a federal system, or was meant to be.
The primary purpose of the Federal Government is to protect the life and liberty of the American people.
Sorry you can't see that, and that you have somehow acquired the idea that somehow the states have the right to alienate unalienable rights.
