Not exactly a crisis per se, but one of my favorite George Allen moments was the beginning of the 1995 General Assembly session. Things were pretty contentious.

The House adjourned the first day without the formal procedure for inviting Allen to the chamber to make his State of the Union Address. That had ~never~ been done.

Allen went on anyway and gave it from his office. The RATS looked like fools and within two election cycles, had lost control of both chambers.

Well at least is the 1st real argument made on this thread that could show he has leadership potential.
