He's still a senator, and in my book that's two strikes against him.
Hes a former Governor so i heard.
He may be a Senator now but he was a great governor here in the state of Virginia. Therefore he has the executive experience that John Kerry and so many of the other nimrods lack. He is not a schmoozer like Bill Clinton but presented properly that may be an asset.
But not only "just" a Senator. He has the further experience of having been a state governor (Virginia) and carrying a name already known by football fans (his father was Hall of Fame Redskins coach George Allen the elder).
And being branded early on as "dim-witted" by Dem'crat opinion shapers puts him in pretty good company, right along with Dwight Eisenhower, Ronald Reagan, and the Presidents Bush 41 and 43. For you see, being cited as less than the sharpest knife in the drawer by the MSM is tantamont to their admission that you are a heckuva smarter than they are willing to grant. Their codewords.
However, before he was a senator, he was term-limited out as governor.
Allen has the requisite executive experience.
