That's incorrect.

Why? His views are probably more in line with the view that abortion should only occur in the instances of the victimized by rape, a victim of incest, or in danger of losing her own life.

You worry about "you".

I don't know what you mean. Is that supposed to be some kind of threat?

"I think the platform ought to be pro-life. It's the basis of the Republican Party.

"...[P]eople have got to understand that abortion is not a contraceptive."

Sorry you don't like the bitter truth.

Let me acquaint you with the bitter truth:

Planned Parenthood gives George Allen an Anti-Choice rating of 0% (percentatage of time he's with them).

National Right to Life gives George Allen 100%.

From Project Vote Smart:

2005 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2005.

2004 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2004.

2003-2004 Senator Allen supported the interests of the National Right to Life Committee 100 percent in 2003-2004.

2003 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2003.

2001-2002 Senator Allen supported the interests of the National Right to Life Committee 100 percent in 2001-2002.

2001 Senator Allen supported the interests of the NARAL Pro-Choice America 0 percent in 2001.

1996-2003 Senator Allen supported the interests of the Planned Parenthood (Senate) 0 percent in 1996-2003.

1995-2004 On the votes that the National Family Planning & Reproductive Health Assocation considered to be the most important in 1995-2004, Senator Allen voted their preferred position 0 percent of the time.

While in the U.S. House of Representatives George Allen voted to ban privately-funded abortions for U.S. military servicewomen.

As Governor George Allen issued an Executive Order prohibiting abortion coverage in state employees’ health insurance except in cases of rape, incest, or life endangerment, or severe fetal abnormality.

As Governor he championed the Parental Notification Law.

As Senator he voted to ban partial-birth abortion.

There's your bitter truth.

We're well aware of the fact that for some factions of the "religious right" no candidate will ever be pure enough on the life issue.

Unfortunately for them, the Apostle Paul isn't running and - as EV can tell you - Alan Keyes will never be President.

As I said, Allen can win the primaries only IF he fools enough pro-lifers.

Then the truth will come out before the general to cost him the election.

His lukewarmness will cause the Religious Right to spew him out of their mouth.

Pro-lifers WILL stay home.

You don't speak for all pro-lifers.

We're all pro-lifers here and you sure as hell don't speak for the vast majority of us.

98% of the abortions in this country are committed before so-called 'viability'.

Once again, does Senator Allen support abortions up until that "magical moment"?

Some will vote on a single issue we favor that has nothing at all to do with abortion, and it will help us win. We need everyone to vote.

Remind me again why you're relevant?

Let me acquaint you with George Allen, when he's not hiding behind his record:

"Abortion should be legal for gross fetal abnormality," and legal up to viability.
