hope you are right. I favor a quarentined SI/nanotech solution, with assured "reboot" capability, maybe to the surface of the Moon or Venus.

I'm not sure that would be far enough away. With a strong enough transmitter, it could still access the internet through our comm satellites. If from venus, it's signal would suffer from about a 6-8 minute delay, but it would still be feasible.

The reboot option I'd use would be a nuclear missile that didn't have a single communications device attached to it, and had to be fired mechanically.

The "reboot" option, paradoxically, might require a "pacified" SI/nanotech response.

We could be opening quite a Pandora's box.
