One of the most irritating (although not serious I suppose) was saying "zero-five hundred" instead of "oh-five hundred" when using military time.

Hmmmmm...I don't think I'd notice that. I usually say "oh", but I've heard "zero" and say it occasionally Is one correct?

Maybe it changes from service to service? USCG has always used "oh" not "zero." Even Dear Hubby hoots when they say "zero."
