I saw a promo for this show the other day, and my first thought was, "That show's still on??" Not that I ever bothered to watch it.

I'll admit I watched it --- I wanted to see what the other side was thinking.
Wow --- what an absolutely boring series, with arrogance added in.
We have a president who mothers her staff by reprimanding them for running in the hall. UGH.
And don't get me started on the "first family". An arrogant first husband who calls Air Force One "OUR PLANE" and is pissed that the republican speaker is on THEIR PLANE. Gag !!
The kids ---- boring, snotty and unreal.
Add all that to the fact that president Geena (I think the name is mac or something) always solves every problem, makes this series way too stupid to spend any more time on it.
Just my 2 cents from someone who did watch, mainly to see what they were going to come up with, but was also disappointed 'cuz this series could have been done very well.

everyone remember how the media HYPED this show. I don't even own a TV and I remember it was on raidio, internet, print media.... Just goes to show that all the media in the world can not suck people into a sucky show...

I have never watched this show, but I have watched The West Wing. I'd appreciate if someone could clue me in on how the two shows compare.

Shows what happens when you ignore half your base -- in in this case -- half your potential audience.

I like Geena Davis, but I knew it was going to go badly for that show when I started seeing the promos with her and Donald Sutherland going at it and I thought to myself, "Who wrote this crap?" (well, "crap" wasn't the exact word I was thinking, but you get the idea.)

There are posters all over train stations here in Britain, trying to get people to watch this.
No thank you.

I'd watch a TV series with Gary Cooper as President and Grace Kelly (miscast) as First Lady!

I only watched barely half of the first show...the dialogue as written was terrible, delivery certainly couldn't save it. That's why the show failed.
I'm just waiting for the lefties to say America just isn't ready for a female president..that's why the show failed.

Maybe they should have tried the first openly lesbian President instead. Heck, it worked for "Brokeback Mtn".

This thing got more free publicity than "Air America," and they both tanked, proving you can't shove a rotten meal down the public's throat. I tried watching the first episode and thought it was idiotic. I admit I was a little worried at first because this thing debuted with such big numbers and was getting so much press at the expense of my favorite show, "House," which was opposite it. Entertainment Weekly, for instance, did puff piece after puff piece on "CIC" while ignoring "House" completely, not even listing Hugh Laurie in their "Entertainers of the Year" issue during the year he won the freakin' Golden Globe as the best actor on TV!
But you can't fool the public for long. This week, "CIC" faces the ax while "House" is #4 in the Neilsen ratings. I would love to hear how Dr. House would bid President Geena goodbye.
