And after you stop dealing with their government and the people keep coming then exactly what do you do? At some point, we've got to deal with the root problem which is that this is a GREAT place to come. I really don't want to change that as long as we have a regular, defined and enforceable procedure for doing that. I DON'T want to make America anything else than a shining City on a Hill.
Yes! I am not, even though no one is listening to me other then a few for a free for all, but all I hear is emotionalism and whining. We need real soultions that are the nit and grit. I want people from all over the world to still dream of being Americans. I have heard mostly a selfish isolationism that I don't think is deep, I just think people are not thinking. For every appeal I can go out and pick a random quote, but that is not going to keep America great and deal with those coming here as the dignified creations of God that they are.
First of all, stiffer punishments for illegals and those who employ them (jail is too light). Having INS round them up at their "protests" would be a good start.
