Paul McCartney is a moron. I hope he never sees another dime from these songs. I'd rather see it go to Sony execs and stockholders.

It could be worse, what if more money went to Yoko Ono?? Ringo is the only relatively normal guy in that lot. Speaking of John Lennon, who was known for having said (in 1966) that the Beatles were "bigger than Jesus," my wife (who is 28) had no idea who Geroge Harrison was. In another 20 years the Beatles might be the equivalent of Rudy Vallee or Stephen Foster.

... and their song catalog will be worth as much as Rudy's catalog.

It's been more than 25 years since they broke up. Their albums still sell and new compilation albums always sell in the millions. Your wife could use some musical education. You could use a new crystal ball.

There are very few of us left who hung around with Stephen Foster.

Bwahahaha! Your post is great and you are very right.

However, since my favorite Beatle is Ringo—the guy who knows he got lucky and has a great sense of humor about himself and looks terrific these days—the catalog should all go back to him. He who laughs last and all that.

Stephen Foster. Haha!

"... my wife (who is 28) had no idea who Geroge Harrison was."

"You wouldn't be trying to interfere with the basic rugged concept of me personality now would madam?"
