I want the U.S. Constitution back!!
Republicanprofessor and myself have been talking about the possibility of starting a thread (or something) which could serve as a sort of "Freeper Art Gallery." There are a lot of talented and creative freepers, some of them professional. Perhaps you could be persuaded to exhibit there, if it comes to pass? IIRC, you do illuminations?
That, miniature painting, calligraphy (it's funny, my handwriting is atrocious, but I'm quite adept at drawing letters!)...lately I've been playing around with some fabric stuff: when I was in the Army I bought a basic sewing machine because I was too cheap to pay someone else to sew patches, tapes, tabs, etc. I dusted it off about a year ago and been playing with it ever since. Likewise, the visual and fabric stuff kind of merged when I was looking around for some manuscript grade vellums and started doing some leather work, which I've been incorporating into some of the garment working I've been doing.
I'd have no problem exhibiting my stuff....for others to see, and think a FRepper Gallery would be, well....illuminating.
:-)
The most valuable stolen treasure the west has now is ME.
In Napoleon's time, Egyptians were burning mummies as fuel. The Rosetta stone was almost broken up for a wall of a fort.
That'd be funny if it weren't so true!

I coulda told him that. Who would want to return the Elgin Marbles to Greece, esp. right now?
