I would never vote for a dem.

--

yet I and others are chastised here for calling out moderates as being little different and trying to get them to grow some spine, whether I or others voted for them or not. Go figure.

I merely shine the light of truth on the pretend-conservatives, who are trying to bamboozle others to help Dems get elected.

"But the pretend-conservative act is being carried onto a whole new playing field, one that has become wildly influential over the past few years and one that does not stand to be instantly recognized as a fake. That playing field is the blogosphere,

The concept is the same: the blog or e-mail claims, first, that the said writer has been a conservative for years and that they have “had it with Republicans.” They then point to an issue that conservatives would likely be upset about such as excessive spending, immigration, or the expansion of government. Their supposed rage over the issue has convinced them to either not show up to vote in 2006, or, in order to really show Republicans, vote for the Democrat instead.

We put them in office. We have to ride them hard.

If moedrates deliver the same pile of poop, who's fault is that? Us for not riding them hard enough or them for being dishonest in their views offered and then actions taken?

Would you vote for Zell Miller or Lincoln Chafee for senate if they ran against each other in your state?

That depends. In a 51-49 Senate, if Miller promised to vote for the GOP nominee for Majority Leader, I'd vote for him.

If he stuck to voting for the Democrat, no thanks. What good does Miller do in a minority position?

What information do you suggest I use?

Something a little more accurate than these exit polls which people trying to make your point always bring up.

If you have some kind of proof that about 85% of Perot voters would have voted for Bush Sr. had Perot not been in the race, show it.

I never said any such thing. Your position seems to be that in the absence of real data, flawed exit polls are almost as good.

I'm sorry, they're not. Without them, you have no case. I never made the point that "85% of Perot voters would have voted for Bush Sr."--you invented that. I have nothing to prove. YOU made an assertion that exit polls prove something; they are nearly meaningless. Without that, you have no more evidence to support what you WANT to be true than I have, the difference being I'm not the one making a point about Perot.

What information do I suggest you use? Facts, not exit polls with no backing evidence.

Here on FR we castigate the media for using polls to make news...until we like the polls, I guess.

Not me. If I don't have factual backup for a point, I either say it's just an opinion or a feeling, and don't hide behind phony data.

"15 million illegal invaders and counting and still nothing is done."

And, don't forget: Nothing done about wreckless spending and gazillion dollar deficits. Nothing done about gas prices. Nothing done about drilling in ANWAR. Nothing done about the fact that we are graduating idiots who can't read their diploma. Nothing done about crooked Republican politicos as well as the Dims. Nothing done about "con men" lobbyist, payoffs, kick-backs, and overall corruption on Capitol Hill. Not one bill vetoed by this President......

Never mind; I'm tired.

I think that for the most part, most of the most vocal FReepers and posters are just obstinate in their beliefs, all love their country and basically disagree about how to save it. Sadly, many of those now in leadership positions who have been supported for a long time by most if not all of us here are now on the verge of turning this country upside down..

Now, I will not now and never have voted for a dem, but if the option is to jump into a pond of alligators or crocs as my ship sinks.. I'd like my elected officials to be on tht same sinking boat being as they are why it is sinking ..

The 'phenomena' of lax enforcement of existing laws is not exclusively either parties failures, it is both.

the primary is where you have a chance to get your man in there, I think when the general election comes around its party time.

On the hourly news on the radio today I heard them talking about Rangel wanting to reinstate the draft again.

If the dems take the house, look for the draft to start making news. When I tell people the dems want to bring back the draft, they look at me. It is amazing how uniformed people are.

"all love their country "

===

You call working hard to elect treasonous Democrats an expression of "love" -- or maybe you are talking about those who "love "THEIR" country" and "THEIR" country is Cuba and China.

Specter is the chairman of one committee. Are you forgetting about all the other committee's?

"How does it feel, knowing that, without Perot, Bill Clinton would never have been president?"

You look up the word truth in the dictionary, and you will find this statement as an example of what "truth" is!!!

I agree. In any contest in which a Dim might win, I'll vote Republican. If the Republican is relatively safe and gives any indication of caving on amnesty, I'll leave a blank and narrow his margin. We've got to express our discontent or we'll be ignored again. I want them to win but win scared.

One important thing people forget is that the main reason Republicans haven't been able to do as much as we would like them to, is BECAUSE OF DEM OBSTRUCTION.

That's why we don't have Social Security Reform, Permanent Tax Cuts, Drilling in ANWR, and an Immigration Bill.

Yet, instead of electing more Republicans, so they have a better chance at passing Republican bill, they want to put Democrats in power.

This is not a hallmark of being a conservative, it's the hallmark of being detached from reality.

Just read all the posts -- they are criticizing Republicans, but not a bad word is spoken about the leftist Dems and their destructive agenda.
