Did you enjoy *Brokeback Mountain*? My hubby won't even discuss that as an option for viewing in our house. We have the DVD, but it's only to add to the collection. He's not interested in ever seeing it. Sheesh!

Could you give a brief summary about *A History Of Violence*? Perhaps our Troops might want to see it. My brother recommended it, but I haven't gotten around to it.

Oh, I loved it. Easily one of the best films of the year (infintely better than the insipid but Oscar-winning Crash). But if your husband would rather not see it, I'd listen to him ;-)

It's a dark, unflinching examination of violence; its meaning, its consequences, and the lengths we go to justify it. I do not want to spoil the plot (easily done on a movie such as this), but here is a summation: A good man with a good family life performs an act of heroism. An act which leads certain people to believe that he is, in fact, someone else. Someone bad.

Caveat: The movie is both sexually and violently graphic. Presumably, this is not a problem for soldiers.

Toss Brokeback Mountain!

I saw "From Russia With Love" last night.

Not a bad 007 film, but it dragged in some scenes.
