I had a friend who simply would not accept that any of these documents were either existent or verifiable. He had not heard anything about it on the MSM, so it was not true. Minutes later, ABC News ran a report regarding the new translations and transcripts of the Saddam tapes, and of course, he took their attempt to spin it and claimed that these have not been authenticated. Since then, they have been. Now, like the MSM themselves, they are not in any position to make claims in any direction. They are stymied. For once...

Please tell you friend that these documents were captured from the Iraqi Intelligence headquarters, Iraq defense ministry, Iraqi military bases, Saddam palaces, and other government sites. There is no way that someone go and plant these documents right after the war.

"a friend"
I have a friend like your friend. I was talking to him recently over the death of one his ex-wives to offer my condolences. After a few minutes he went into a rant about how wrong the Iraq war was because there no link between Hussein and Al-Qaeda and no wmds. (Additionally he had just finished reading Al Franken's new book " The Truth", and everything in it was THE TRUTH!!!!)
I informed him of the release of these authenticated documents convincingly detailing Hussein's terror ties to Al-Qaeda and his efforts to hide his wmds. His response was.... "I don't believe it". That is his response to every fact I put before him after he makes his usual ridiculous false statements fed to him by his lib masters. The next time I talk him, I'm also going to tell him to go to Frankenlies.com and see what he thinks about his heroes "truth".
