I just got off of the phone with the manager at Fran O'Briens in DC. Yes, I called them long distance.

The email that is going around is false.

Their lease has come up for renewal, which lease's have a habit of doing. That is all.

The restaurant's lease, which was extended for six months last year, is set to expire as of May 1. WND coverage

Seems, at least from Hilton's claims, that this was standard business decision-making and Fran O'Briens is trying to "force" Hilton to renew the lease again rather than move to a new location.
