Liberals are now saying Iran won't have a bomb in 10 years, this is another ruze on Bush's part, how can you trust the current administration, etc., etc.

Where did the 10 years come from? Seymour Hersch?

It took us less than four years from FDR starting up our atomic bomb project full speed just before Pearl Harbor to dropping the bombs on Japan. It took about 5 months from when the gas diffusion enrichment plant at Oak Ridge went into production until we bombed Japan. Iran has claimed that they have now run their enrichment plant. Anyone who claims that Iran is more than months (at most) from having the bomb is too stupid to be allowed to care for and feed themselves, much less make national policy statements.

Liberals are the "Thinking Classes," Karl, and have no idea of anything even remotely technical, including their own garbage disposal units in their lavish kitchens.

For bombs, the basic science is largely over. It's just technical now. And a lot of nuclear tech was pioneered 60 years ago, and is now sort of sophisticated "off-the-shelf" with many Paki, North Korean, and Chinese Technicians available, under the direction of some former Soviet, all too ready to help anyone read the catalogs and set up the right stuff.

Ya wanna bomb? It's now really "a piece of (yellow) cake," if you have the money and not that much time. Unfortunately, we've given them time, and buying their oil, the money.
