Weve all seen the e-mail sent out days before an election: Democrats vote on Tuesday, Republicans vote on Wednesday. Dont forget to vote! Wink, wink. Or vice versa. Republicans can be just as juvenile. Generally speaking, such friendly reminders are sent as a joke, which then may or may not actually trick a few people. Probably those who are tricked are better off not voting anyway, but that is another point altogether. (In case you havent voted recently, everyone votes on Tuesday.)
But there seems to be a new Republicans vote on Wednesday taking form in time for the 2006 election. This effort targets grassroots conservatives known for their passionate views about issues who may be open to a grassroots voting rebellion. But the effort is being led, or at the very least aided, by liberals pretending to be grassroots conservatives, as opposed to actual grassroots conservatives themselves.
[snip]
But the pretend-conservative act is being carried onto a whole new playing field, one that has become wildly influential over the past few years and one that does not stand to be instantly recognized as a fake. That playing field is the blogosphere, which is then used in conjunction with massive e-mailings to spread the word (as one e-mailer insisted I do to my readers/e-mail list) to other conservatives.
The concept is the same: the blog or e-mail claims, first, that the said writer has been a conservative for years and that they have had it with Republicans.

Why am I not surprised ping
Or that he got Al Gore elected.
The Bush Apocolypse We Predicted Comes 10 Months Early. Thank God For Pat Buchanan!
haha
Time to ping a few folks you normally wouldnt ping...
That's a fairly transparent fake. Someone who is (understandable) disgusted with the Republican's big-spending and big-government results might not show up, or might vote Libertarian instead, but would certainly not vote for the Democrat instead (unless perhaps the local candidate were a very unusual Democrat).
Thanks to this man's bold leadership, we conservatives and our cause can be rescued and reinvigorated -- even in the midst of the calamity of the ongoing GOP meltdown -- because he uniquely had the courage to break ranks with the now thoroughly Clintonized GOP and chart a daring new course -- one that promises to give voice to all the great issues which must be addressed -- especially in the general election, when it really counts.
That man is Patrick J. Buchanan.
Change the name, and you've got the Tancredoites.
It's amusing to go through old threads like that and see who's been banned.
The whole idea, while not new, is stupid. The media could depress voter turnout, and democrats could maintain control of things for generations.
***Lots of disinformation libs post on this board pretending to be Republicans and/or conservatives.
And they've all jumped on the Bash Bush on illegal immigration band wagon.***
AMEN!
The other night I went through an illegal immigration thread posted a year ago, and half the posters in that 60 post thread were banned.
***It's been a struggle, but I've had some help from an online support group.***
LOL! I'll bet we could all spend at least 12 hours a day on a site like that.
If those guys left the Republican party as often as they claimed, there would be nobody left.
It's like the rallies the other day. All those hate-America leftist communist goofballs waving American flags, because the conservative media picked up on that, because when a week before, you couldn't find one American flag being waved in a crowd.
If you want to look for a plant, look for the screenname that broadcasts bona fides about it.
***The solution is to punish the RINOs. We should create a grassroots "Save the GOP" movement that will begin recall campaigns against RINOs. This would take all the wind out of those whining to abandon the GOP.***
Sure, go ahead. Punish the RINOS so that we'll be sure to lose the House and Senate.
***By the way, Bush needs to be "bashed" on his immigration stance. His stance will do more damage to the party than all of the demoralizers put together.***
I guess you haven't read the President's "stance" on immigration. Please don't make me publish it AGAIN or I'll hafta get mad. It's on the WH site.
At least a good portion of the Patsies and the Tancreditos believe in their guy. A good trick is to support some guy in a primary who has no chance of winning and supporting the guy who will win is a "violation of conservative principles".
demoralizing Republicans into staying home,i am
Thanks for the ping.
We on FR need to name the Pseudo Conservatives when they post.
This is their title, Pseudo and should be replied in return as such until others get it.
The RINOS have been saboutaging the Republican Party every chance they get, (and either they must be drummed out of the corp, or they'll sink us.) Bush, however delivered the final torpedo with his Pro-Illegal stance. We've stood by him thru good times and bad, but this one issue is the final straw that absolutely cannot be tolerated. Our nation and our sovreignty is more important that either party loyalty or George Bush.

Absolute! I wish Jim Rob would put a logo before each name based on the comments the poster has made.
